That printable template of the shapes for the spool block is so clever! Is that available online somewhere?

I love your little spool blocks, Jose! That is very tempting! You are going to be able to use up sooooo many batting scraps that way. Enjoy!

I really enjoyed this post about how you motivate yourself to work thru projects! I’d love to know more details about your QAYG method. I’m new to EPP and am working my way thru one of the freebie patterns on your site. Chair slow stitching has been been perfect for post operation recovery in this life phase I’m going thru. You are such an inspiration!

We're so glad that EPP is helping you through this season of recovery, and wishing you a speedy one! We do have a blog post about Jodi's QAYG method, however, it is meant for EPP quilt blocks that finish square, so, unfortunately, it won't suit all EPP quilts. You can read through her blog post about it here: https://www.talesofcloth.com/blogs/blog/how-to-quilt-as-you-go-your-red-sky-at-night-quilt

I love your idea of doing QAYG with the smaller blocks + what a great way to use up a portion of the leftover pieces. Thank you for that idea! I think I'll make a start with baby quilts - small enough to work with so it's not a forever project, but fun. I was thinking I wanted classic blocks as I'm going to use a portion of my retro vintage prints for that project. I especially love the way you went in with a small goal and ended up cutting a strip from all your stash and precut pieces for the current EPP project, as well as tidying up drawers as you went. All with the mindset (I'm sure) of "I want to get this done, too". Then it's not a job - especially when you leave the room & the areas you were in are nice & tidy again. I don't sort my low volume fabrics by colors, but I do have them sorted by whites and creams/light beige. That's the first thing I determine when I need to pull the low volume stash & I always know which way I want to go before I pull the first one. The colors within the low volume don't matter so much. I pull selections with the mindset of what grabs me for the project at hand.
