Jodi, I really like the dark navy squares for your L & T quilt. It gives it a good shot of contrast that grounds the otherwise scrappy business. And definitely YES to the black squares for your cross blocks. That makes me immediately want to start sewing crosses, haha!
Haven't started my quilt yet but wanted to let you know that I am thinking of making it like the center is an ice cream cone and will use ice cream colors for the top of the cone shapes and will go on from there. Love that quilt but have to finish 2 others before I start it.
