I feel seen!! It's kinda funny how good this made me feel. :)

Jodi- Do you have a machine at home that you love for straight stitching the quilt sandwich? (For when you may decide to skip taking it to a longarmer and simply finish the quilt sandwich on your home machine?)

My Bernina P350 has a small throat. I'm reading a lot about the Janome M6. I'd like to have something where I don't always have to send the quilt out to a longarmer, especially since I most often use simple, straight quilting lines (sometimes both vertical+horizontal ) but I need a bit bigger throat. Curious if anyone here has recommendations?

Hi Mary! I'm Lisa, Jodi's assistant, here to help keep up with social media and comments as needed, and I'd love to help! Jodi has a Janome 6700p for a machine, and, as someone who just purchased one myself, we could not be happier with this machine! It is an investment, but if you're already looking at the M6, you might be glad to know it's not strictly necessary to get the M6 unless you want a particular feature it offers. The huge throat and advanced feed dog system on the 6700p makes quilting so easy! I wish I had bought mine ages ago. Hope that helps! xx

I totally understand what you're talking about! I've been getting ready for craft fair, and have decided that what I've got done is what is ready and have started cleaning off MY cutting table, I found two more tops for me to sandwich and baste, have three more in a tote and have five basted but before I can quilt, I have to clear off the table that the quilting machine is on, lol. I have made good progress though, you can see most of the cutting table(7'x4'), and even cleaned off my sewing desk. LOL
